The End Is Upon us

September 25, 2010 by n.taylor 2 Comments

This week I officially retired the basketball shorts and sandals. I replaced them with an old blue duffel bag that I use to hold my boots and waders. My bag reminds me of the cold season and the prevailing scent of cat urine reminds me of my mothers cat that urinated on the thing 10 years ago. There are “pumpkins and chromes” in most of my favorite drainages and it’s getting really cold at night. Just the other day I was driving over Cottonwood Pass and it started snowing, so you know that pass is going to be closed soon. Another season is nearing an end but before I starting counting flies lost and days wasted I have just a few more trips that I have to finish. If you’ll excuse me, I need to start packing.
